Impressions of a private Riad in the centre of the Medina in Marrakesh
This classically restored 19th century Moroccan riad on 12th century foundations in the medina of Marrakech provides a luxurious setting for those seeking a restful exotic stay in this ancient city.
The house is just minutes walk from the Marrakech Museum, Medersa Ben Youssef, Souks markets and the Place Djemaa el Fna.
This house has been a family house for about 15 years and is informally operated as a time-share for friends and their friends. Rates are substantially lower than other guest houses in the medina because the objective is simply to recover operating costs to preserve the property to keep it available to those who want to discover authentic Morocco.
The "garden" riad, accessible through a connecting door, comprises of 2 double rooms (1 with bath), a single "greenhouse" room with private bath, a living room and full kitchen.
This property is available for private short term lease with staff to cook and clean. Between both properties, which are connected, there are 10 rooms and 24 beds.
Seldom do so many people stay in the house at once; usually 5-10 people at most but in the high tourism months (December, January, March, April, August), they do occasionally fill up.
High speed free WIFI available in the house if you have a laptop.
