Ultrafiltration to produce hygienically safe drinking water
Ultrafiltration as part of a mechanical treatment process for non saline raw water is seen by many as one of the key technologies to mechanically remove any particles larger the 0,01 micrometer.
Membrane manufacturers have proven to be able to remove 99,9999% of viruses and bacteria from the raw water and making the product water (drinking water) microbiological safe for human consumption.
Obviously any dissolved matters like arsenic will not be removed.
Top class membranes are core to safe operation
Unique features of Ultrafiltration module
Altough there are many products on the markets using hollow fibre membranes this particular product is unique in that it has a build in mesh filter or activated carbon filter to protect the membrane itself and that it has a build back flush functionality. In combination with low minimum working pressure requirement of only 2 bar this filter is ideal in decentralised and renewable powered applications.
Maximum continuous flow rate: 1020 l/h
Minimum working pressure: 2.0 bar (30psi)
Maximum working pressure: 6.9 bar (100psi)
Maximum water temperature: 38°C
Minimum water temperature: 0°C
Bacteria removal: 99.99999%
Virus removal: 99.999%
