Innovative Floating UV water desinfection system soon to be launched Tuesday, 1. December 2009
Water tanks on roof tops is a common feature in many countries with unreliable water and power supply. Unfortunatly that water stored is quickly contaminated amongst other things with viruses, bacteria and other biological contaminants.

Different methods are available to treat that type of water and make it fit for human use. Water desinfection using hard UV radiation is one of them.

A new product for water desinfection using UV will be launched shortly that will be inside the tank, floating at the "best" water level and directly connected to the outflow. The contaminated water leaving the tank will have to pass via a 16W strong UV lamp thus inactivating 99,99% of all biological contaminants. The flow rate will be up to 2.5m³/h .

The UV system is powered by 24VDC using only 0.8A. So any two 12V batteries can power this system to make it independent from fluctuating public power supply.

More details will follow shortly
