Solar pool heating - No heating costs, no Co2 emmisions

With the help of solar pool heating you can swim early in the year until late in the year in comfortably hot water. You choose the desired temperature at the automatic solar regulation. Depending on the size of the collector, the season and the region you may heat up your pool to 30/32ºC (86/90ºF).

Function of solar pool heating

The theory of the "black body" explains this: The radiation of the sun which meets a body, an object, may be reflected, transmitted or absorbed.

· A mirror reflects radiation
· Transparent material allows radiation to pass through.
· A black body absorbs radiation and heat is produced.

Solar pool heating makes use of this physical law: The "black body/object" is the solar collector. It transforms radiation into heat, by approx. 82%. The pool pool water flows trough the collector, absorbs the heat and carries it into the pool...

Optimising the natural principle

The special moulding of the solar ribbed tubes heats up the pool very rapidly, by free solar energy. They are made of special plastics of very high quality. This material is higly UV-resistant. It remains stable against temperatures from -45°C to 130°C (-49°F to 266°F) and against chemicals which are used in pool water treatment.

The collector which has been developped especially for pool-heating is most efficient at temperatures of about 23°C to 32°C (73°F to 90°F). This is ideal, since these temperatures offer most fun and comfort when swimming. You get high output thanks to the solar ribbed tube.

Larger surface area

The solar ribbed tube has a t r e b l e surface area as compared to a tube of the same diameter but with a smooth surface. The special shape of the solar ribbed tubes guarantees a rapid heat absorption and a rapid transmission of that heat to the water which flows through the collector.

Advantage: Your pool is heated up faster.

Furthermore, the special moulding makes the solar ribbed tubes stable, flexible and vacuum-resistant.

Smooth surface = smaller surface area = less heat absorption
Ribbed surface = larger surface area = rapid heat absorption
The filter plant filters your pool water and pumps it through the collector at the same time, in order to heat it up. The automatic solar control valve regulates this process according to the temperature desired. It measures the solar heat offered at the collector's place and the pool water temperature with sensors.

Example installations

The collectors can be almost any size, shape or format. As long as they get enough sunshine your pool water gets heated up every day 2-4 degrees Celcius while loosing 1-2 degrees Celcius over night.

Rule of thumb regarding size of collector area: Idelly the collector size should be the same as the pool size.
