Radiation with UV light is one of the most efficient methods of destroying germs. The radiation source emits at the optimal wavelength for germ inactivation and guarantee a high germ destruction rate.

Instead of having the complete tank desinfected all the time it seems to be more cost and energy efficient to only desinfect the water leaving the tank for consumption.
As the water flows through the UV housing, it is subjected to a lethal dose of germicidal ultraviolet (UV) light that instantaneously inactivates bacteria and viruses by destroying their DNA structure and thus making the water microbiologically safe to drink.
Installation
This floating UV disinfection system is designed to be inserted inside any water tank, rain water tank, cistern etc. It takes automatically the cleanest, freshest water level and disinfects the water before it leaves the tank.
